Great River is an expert in storm water analysis and the planning and design of storm water infrastructure. We excel at hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and have designed the full gamut of storm water infrastructure projects ranging from on-site systems to city-wide storm water and flood control projects.
Our staff includes Certified Floodplain Managers and is experienced in floodplain management. We have assisted many communities with their FEMA floodplain mapping and routinely perform FEMA remapping studies.
Great River engineers are conscious of the affect that urban storm water runoff has on our natural drainage systems and our environment. We incorporate environmentally friendly and low-impact solutions into our designs and work to achieve projects that mimic pre-development runoff characteristics.
We are also experienced in storm water master planning and in working with communities to develop or improve related ordinances and standards. Our services for communities also include engineering plan and conformance review.
